Background: The IgE receptor (FcϵRI) may exist as a tetramer (αβγ2) or a trimer (αγ2)
because FcϵRIβ is dispensable for membrane expression of FcϵRIα. FcϵRIβ amplifies
signaling of FcϵRI so that regulation of FcϵRIα: β stoichiometry would affect cellular
