Cystic fibrosis airway epithelia exhibit enhanced Na+ reabsorption in parallel with
diminished Cl-secretion. We tested the hypothesis that the cystic fibrosis transmembrane
conductance regulator (CFTR) directly affects epithelial Na+ channel activity by co-
